LET'S MAKE MUSIC!

1

This exciting one-day workshop gives P5-P7 classes a chance to work as a team to create a brand new song. The class will be divided into small groups to work on different elements of the song with a professional song writer, joining together to rehearse and record a vocal track at the end of a day packed with enjoyable music and literacy themed activities.

This flexible programme has a strong focus on the four purposes at the heart of the new Curriculum for Excellence, addressing specific outcomes in the areas of Literacy and English, and Expressive Arts (Music). Click here for detailed links to the Curriculum for Excellence.
An option to select any subject matter as a workshop theme provides an excellent cross-curricular opportunity for active learning.
The package includes a useful teachers' pack for each participating class, plus a CD recording of the new song for every participant to remind them of the day (single class only) or an opportunity for the children to purchase a copy of the CD at a low cost (where more than one class is involved in the workshop).

This workshop follows the format of our 'Let's Write A Song!' workshop throughout the morning.

During the afternoon, the children will have an opportunity to learn and rehearse their new song. Although there will be no recording, and no CD backing track, we will provide a song pack containing lyric sheets and a lead sheet with chords, which will allow music specialists (or class teachers with music skills) to practice the song for future performances.

'Let's Write A Song!' - from £465* plus VAT.

'Let's Write A Song!' Condensed - from £325* plus VAT.
